The Freespace 2 Reference Guide, compiled mainly by Wingnut, is an excellent product that all FSers and mission designers should have. It provides in-depth information on FRED2, and everything a mission designer could want.
For example, it includes the listing of all the background nebulae, and what color they look like; the wingmen ANIs and the motions they make, and what the numbers by them mean. All in all, an excellent piece of work by Wingnut. To pick up the Reference Guide, click this link and it will be yours.
